Actuarial Consulting Services RFP Issued

SJCERA seeks proposals from qualified actuarial firms interested in performing full-service actuarial consulting services. A summary of key deadlines follows.

May 30, 2025: Letter of Intent and Proposer's Questions due.

June 27, 2025: Submit proposals to RFPs@sjcera.org by 4pm.

Retiree Health Insurance Open Enrollment May 1-23

2025-2026 Open Enrollment is from May 1st-23rd. If you would like to make changes to your health plan, please submit health insurance enrollment forms before May 23rd.

If you wish to keep your current plan, you do not need to do anything.

SJCERA Closed May 26th

In observance of Memorial Day, SJCERA's office will be closed Monday, May 26. The office will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27.

2025 Retirement Board Election - Results

Jason Whelen, Sergeant for the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department, ran unopposed for the Safety member seat for the SJCERA Board of Retirement. His three-year term begins on July 1, 2025.

The Board of Retirement is SJCERA’s governing body. SJCERA administers retirement and associated benefits for eligible employees of the County of San Joaquin and nine other participating employers. SJCERA collects contributions from active members and their employers, invests these funds and pays benefits to retired members and beneficiaries.
